PEER TUTOR
As a current student, would you consider consulting an upper-year peer tutor for advice about classes, scheduling, and other aspects of university?
Peer mentorship can be very helpful for both new and existing students to develop new and refine old strategies for success. Talking to someone “who has been there” can make a big difference!
In the Diversities of Resilience Project, 13.5% of the respondents from MSVU and 16.37% from the full sample (MSVU, UOIT, & U Winnipeg) indicated that the academic support centre or a program (e.g., peer tutoring) contributed to their successful completion of courses or achievement of their educational goal.
