INDIGENOUS STUDENTS
As an Indigenous student, are you familiar with the supports available to you?
In an effort to ensure that Indigenous students not only have access to a university education, but also the support they may need in a new environment, most Canadian universities have groups and resources.
In the Diversities of Resilience Project, 3.21% of the respondents from UOIT and 4.42% from the full sample (MSVU, UOIT, & U Winnipeg) indicated that a university association or centre (e.g., the Indigenous Resource Centre) contributed to their successful completion of courses or achievement of their educational goal.
