MATURE STUDENTS
As a mature student, are you familiar with the supports available to you?
Increasingly, university students come from all walks of life. Many are only able to attend university later in life and many universities will provide specialized support for older students.
There services available to mature students to help them be successful. In the Diversities of Resilience Project, 21% of the respondents from UOIT and 16.4% from the full sample (MSVU, UOIT, & U Winnipeg) indicated that the academic support centre or a program (e.g., Adult Learner Services) contributed to their successful completion of courses or achievement of their educational goal.
