INDIGENOUS STUDENTS
As an Indigenous student, are you familiar with the supports available to you?
In an effort to ensure that Indigenous students not only have access to a university education, but also the support they may need in a new environment, most Canadian universities have groups and resources.
In the Diversity of Resilience Project, 2.25% of the respondents from MSVU and 4.42% from the full sample (MSVU, UOIT, & U Winnipeg) indicated that a university association or centre ((e.g., the Indigenous Resource Centre) contributed to their successful completion of courses or achievement of their educational goal.
MSVU is committed to serving Indigenous students and encourages Indigenous students to declare themselves and to utilize the available services, supports, and programs to better meet their needs.
